Over 40 world-renowned master artisans spend over 6-weeks hand-carving approximately 6,000 blocks of ice to create this one-of-a-kind Christmas attraction! With over 17,000-square-foot and 10 immersive scenes, here's a peek at some of our favorite scenes you won't want to miss!
    • The Island Of Misfit Toys

      The Island Of Misfit Toys

Ruled by King Moonracer, the Island of Misfit Toys is where all the unwanted toys live together. From a square-wheel train to a plane that cannot fly, the misfit toys were not wanted because they were different. In this year's ICE!, the Island of Misfit Toys is the theme of our popular slide room. Zoom down one of the 4 ice slides from up to two-stories high, then marvel at the beautiful details that make all the Misfit Toys unique and special in their own way.
    • Rudolph Saves The Day

      Rudolph Saves The Day

In one of the most stunning scenes of this year's ICE!, visitors will see how Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer saves Christmas by leading Santa's sleigh. No matter the foggy night, his bright nose shines the way for everyone. This carving of Santa, his sleigh and all the reindeer is one of the longest ice carvings measuring over 32 feet long.
    • Yukon Cornelius & Bumble

      Yukon Cornelius & Bumble

In this iconic scene, Yukon Cornelius knocks out Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster of the North outside of the snow cave. This interactive ICE! scene allows visitors to go up stairs and get a view over Bumble for the perfect photo opportunity. Yukon Cornelius on the top of the mountain is over 15 feet high.

Making of "ICE!"

Learn more about the magic and finesse behind the scenes that create
these colorful, icy masterpieces.
Colorful Chemistry
The vibrant colors in the ice sculptures are specially created by a chemist with a proprietary formula to ensure it closely matches each character's specific colors and to maintain its bright color for the entire season.
Expert Artisans
Traveling over 6,000 miles from Harbin, China (known as "Ice City"), 40 artisans use their master sculpting skills passed down through generations to carve ICE! over six weeks.
2 Million Pounds of Ice
ICE! features elaborate scenes sculpted from 6,700 massive blocks of ice, weighing in at a total of 2 million pounds.
Crafty Tools
The carvers use chisels, chippers, tongs, handsaws, grinders, and even chainsaws to bring the experience to life. Some artisans have collected custom-made tools to perfect the irregular shapes and achieve the highest level of detail.
The Design
The artisans follow a 300-page design book filled with hand-drawn, to-scale sketches and blueprints to create every sculpture featured throughout the 19,000-square-foot frozen attraction.
Carver's Showcase
Once the completed masterpiece is open for guests, a few artisans stay onsite at the exhibit to preserve the icy designs and perform daily, live sculpting demonstrations to showcase their craft.
